Meteor Multi Track Recorder for the iPad
The program features up to 12 tracks of high quality audio, a built in mixer and multi-effects processor. MeTeoR is ideally suited for creating musical compositions, and also a great tool for journalists and business people who need to splice and piece together voice notes, narration or dictation. Compositions once mixed can be exported to standard file formats for use on your desktop PC. www.4pocketsaudio.com

I bought this to use for podcasting. It’s a great program for post production but realtime monitoring is limited (ducking does not work). Also, I write and record music; the drums and keys are not touch sensitive like Garage Band. It it fits your needs you’ll love it. For me? I paid too much to get too little. I can already use Aplitube to do almost all of what I need. Almost there 4Pockets!
Can you monitor effects on input/record in real time?
Just bought this and am blown away by the feature set you’ve managed to pack in. Well done!
thanks for the replies btw way 4pockets. i’ll give this app a go this weekend
my ‘reason 5′ comment below was suppossed to be a search. ipad curser was in the comments box, so ignore that irrellevent comment.
@easydp
Part 2
If you want to record using both inputs you need to change the Record Input Type on the Options menu to Pure Stereo and ensure the ARMed track in Meteor is set to STEREO.

Part 1
The IO Dock inputs have rotary level controls on the back of the dock. You need to ensure these are both turned up.
Both inputs on the IO Dock are the left and right channels of a single stereo input. You don’t need to do anything in Meteor to enable these inputs, it all happens automatically. By default Meteor is set up to record from the internal microphone which is the right channel of the stereo input. If you don’t hear something using one input try the other.

i got this and n i o dock and after plugging in a mic to one of the inputs, arming a track i couldnt get any input. any advise on how to start off?
This is an absolutely killer app for the iPad.
The only thing I would say to others is make sure you tap on [options] scroll to ‘effects processing’ select ‘On’ and then save your file. If you don’t do this, you’ll end up wondering why the FX aren’t working.
I just got an Alesis iO-Dock and with Meteor – it absolutely rocks.
My my my. This is a tasty burger. Well done.
@4pockets
Hi Meteor is now available in the iTunes store
Thanks
@4pockets any word on the release of meteor for iPad. I have been checking so I’m sure when it pops up I will find it.
Sorry one last thing….dude,you are my new hero. Cubase mini for iPad. Can’t wait to get things done. GarageBand is kind of a good warm up tool to flesh out ideas maybe capture quick inspiration. This looks like it could be the final stop for my sound creation apps good show.
Now if only apple would allow vsti no more copy/paste but that’ll have to do for now. Thanks for making this hope it’s competitively priced!
Sweet I was just about to buy multitrack DAW over last weekend glad I decided to wait. This is just what I am looking for. A familiar track DAW. Can’t wait until it get approved.
