@012629184 no you need to set up a apple id account first you need to do that if your downloading free apps or not. its just so that you could pay for all things apple with apple id, you cant even buy a imac online without apple id, oh and sorry if you do have apple id but was just trying to help

if my ipod does not have ibook, that means I can’t load the book to my ipod? I see that apple wants me to load IBook, and it said it is free app. But when i load it, they ask for my credit Card. so that means I have to pay for iBook app?
